Advantages of LED car lights

For cars, LED light sources (not limited to headlights) have the following 7 advantages:

1. Energy saving and low cost: The luminous efficiency of LEDs reaches 80% to 90%. If we use our daily energy-saving lamps as an analogy, energy-saving lamps are 4/5 more energy-saving than incandescent lamps, while LEDs are 1/4 more energy-saving than energy-saving lamps. In cars, for the same daytime running lights, the energy consumption of LED components is only 1/20 of that of halogen lamps. The cost of LED components has also dropped significantly year by year, and the cost and price are still falling by more than 20% per year.

2. Long life: LED components used in cars can basically reach the level of 50,000 hours, and well-known automotive lighting suppliers have been able to provide LED components with a life of 100,000 hours, which is equivalent to 11 years. Considering the frequency of use of lights, basically in the design life of the whole vehicle, LED components do not need to be replaced. In contrast, the life of xenon lamps is only about 3,000 hours. And LEDs enrich the shape and lines of headlights, and make them more recognizable at night.

3. Good durability: The LED element has a simple structure, very good impact resistance and shock resistance, is not easy to break, and can well adapt to various environments.

4. The LED components are small in size, compact and easy to arrange and shape design: This is a huge advantage of LED. This advantage fully caters to the evolutionary needs of automobile manufacturers in design, breaks the shackles of past lighting systems on shape innovation, and allows us to have More creative automotive products.

5. Fast response speed: The lighting of the LED only needs a microsecond level. It can be quickly lit on the taillights and turn signals to achieve a better warning effect. When used in headlights, it has a higher response than xenon lamps and halogen headlights. Speed, which has a better guarantee for driving safety.

6. Low brightness attenuation: LED has high brightness, and the light brightness attenuation is much lower than that of halogen lamps. It is suitable for lighting, brake lights, turn signals and other warning lights.

7. It can be driven by low-voltage DC power, with small load, weak interference, low requirements for the use environment and good adaptability. Unlike xenon lamps, a booster device (high-voltage package) is also required.
